The Nondual Myth

There seems to be alot of talk in “nondual” circles about Oneness, and the fact that there is no separation. Essentially, this statement is right, and true.

Offcourse everything is One. Offcourse there is no fundamental distinction between you, me, and everything in creation. Nevertheless, as is often the case, there is more to this than meets the eye.

What I would like to discuss here is what I call “everydayness”. Everydayness is not particularly special, but it can be. One could even say that its specialness comes from being everyday. Now in many writings about Oneness, this is somehow overlooked.

I understand that there is a need to point out that everything is One, and that there is no separation. And in essence, there is none, and never was.

Yet, and this is what we should not forget, the everyday still remains.
